According to the Hellenic Police, in the context of controls for illegal operation of brothels in the center of Athens, a brothel was located in a two-storey building in the area of Omonia, in which people were present.
Police officers tried to carry out a relevant check, but in their view they sealed the main entrance and the internal doors from inside, in order to prevent the impending check.
An operation was then organized to enter the building, in the presence of a representative of the Judicial Authority, in which two women were arrested, temporarily responsible for operating a brothel, violating its re-sealing, which had been set by the Municipality of Athens,…
…nine women as workers and fifteen men as customers, all violating the Provisions on the prevention of the spread of coronavirus.
All those arrested were fined 300 euros, while the landlord and owner of the building were fined 5,000 euros and those temporarily responsible fined 3,000 euros for violating the provisions on preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
In addition, a case was filed against 7 of those arrested by the AT. Omonia, for violation of the Legislation on foreigners and the administrative measure of deportation will be applied against them.
